Trails:
Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge has a combined 12 miles of foot trails, which are open every day from sunrise to sunset.
Chachalaca Trail (half mile): includes two blinds and is universally accessible
Cattail Lakes Trail (1.6 miles)
Pintail Lakes Trail (2 miles); includes views of the Rio Grande
Wildlife Drive:
This seven-mile, one-way, tour loop is paved for most of the drive, with the exception of the last mile.The drive provides access to the old cemetery, the tower overlook, and a photo blind which is stocked with feed for birds during the winter months.
Schedule: During the winter, tram tours can be taken on the wildlife drive. From May through October, to protect wildlife, the seven-mile drive is open to vehicles on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
